Kaizer Chiefs Sign Six New Players

Six new players, including an import from Venezuela, have joined Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the 2023/2024 season.

In a series of tweets posted on Monday, 3 July, the Soweto giants confirmed that it had signed the following additions: Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Spiwe Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Daniel Castillo Garcia, Pule Mmodi and Ranga Piniel Chivaviro.

Ditlhokwe and Msimango join the club from SuperSport United and TS Galaxy, respectively, in a bid to improve Amakhosi’s notoriously weak defensive record. Here to bolster the club’s attack are Mdantsane (Cape Town City), Mmodi (Lamontville Golden Arrows) and Chivaviro (Marumo Gallants).

Garcia joins from Venezuelan outfit Monagas SC and will take his place in the midfield. He is expected to arrive in South Africa sometime this week.

Many of their contracts will last between two years and four years, although in the case of Garcia and Chivaviro, their two-year deals include an option to add another year.

With this new crop of players, will Kaizer Chiefs be able to reclaim their former glory in the upcoming season? As always, watch this space!
